Entertaiment is a broad term that entails various forms of amusement, diversion and pleasure. Entertainment is now a vast industry which provides a livelihood to many. Entertainment is often intended to provoke a deeper reaction from the audience and can be serious in nature. However, it is also commonly associated with amusement and humor. Many forms of entertainment have evolved and can be adapted to a range of audiences from an individual selecting a private entertainment from an extensive range of pre-recorded products, through to a banquet designed for two; from an intimate performance for a few hundred people to performances intended for thousands.
